Kendahl composes orchid still life artwork combined with oriental rugs and vases, in watercolor. She incorporates orchids into many of her floral still life arrangements giving a vertical movement and a magical lilt to the lush girth of vases, ginger jars, and fanciful bowls surrounding a celebration of tropical bouquets and paradisiacal floral arrangements. Kendahl's orchid paintings are inspired by her travels around the world.
